Description:
We love this waterer for inside the chick brooder or for small flocks of chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, and guinea fowl. Light can not pass through the waterer, therefore prohibiting algae growth. This means less cleaning for you! It's our favorite type yet, bar none.
- Includes a 1-gallon (128 oz), plastic chick waterer with 2 pre-drilled holes, a handle, 1 anti-roost lid, 2 red horizontal nipples, 2 plastic cups, 2 Plastic Wingnuts, 2 Rubber Washers, and instructions.
- The cups are easy for any fowl to use and will fill automatically every time your birds take a drink. There's no tab the birds need to learn to depress as you see on some other poultry watering cups. When using the water cups, the bucket portion needs to be slightly raised so that the water cups do not touch the surface of whatever the waterer is sitting on.
- To get chickens started using the nipples, we suggest tapping on each nipple to show your flock the water that comes out. They will then peck at the stainless steel pin, which will release more water. If chickens have a difficult time figuring it out, you might try putting some sweet jelly onto the nipples.
- Shop the matching Farmight Chick/Small Flock Feeder.

Farmight 1 Gallon Chick/Small Flock Waterer
The girls found it easy to drink from, stays cleaner than other water delivery containers, currently using the cups and will switch them to pecking delivery as they get older.

We're so glad to hear that your flock is enjoying the waterer! The cup system is a great way to keep their water clean, and transitioning to the pecking delivery as they grow is a smart plan. Thank you for sharing your experience, and we appreciate you choosing My Pet Chicken!

Farmight 1 Gallon Chick/Small Flock Waterer
It's nice that it comes with the cups and the nipples. My chicks struggled with the nipples at first, so I'd recommend installing one of each, then when they are strong enough, switch to the nipples, so you don't have to clean the cup anymore. Either way, it's way cleaner than the cheap gravity-fed options.

Farmight 1 Gallon Chick/Small Flock Waterer
This size is perfect for chicks. It's simple to fill and doesn't occupy much space in the brooder. You can either hang it or place it on a brick or similar object to raise it to chick height if hanging isn't possible. I prefer using pin-style nipples for my older chicks and cups for new chicks.

Farmight 1 Gallon Chick/Small Flock Waterer
I purchased this 1 gallon flock waterer w/ 2 red cups for my latest batch of chicks. I specifically bought the 2 red cups, as displayed on the website. It arrived with 1 orange (not red) cup and 1 red, 'nipple' style water dispenser that my chicks/hens won't use, so it's useless, making the waterer only 1/2 effective. It's not what I purchased or paid for. All my feeders/waterers in my coop & run are red & white. I like the color coordination. I called My Pet Chicken & the service rep was really great... they always are! She said they'd send me another cup style dispenser right away. I received the new cup in a few days, but it wasn't red, nor orange like the first one... it was dark green. Ok... Now, the colors don't bother me too much, but I SHOULD get what I ordered... not some strange substituted item. The cup itself... honestly, doesn't always fill up - like the other brand of cup waterer does, but the other brand was out of stock... so I tried this one instead.
I'm not real thrilled with it, as I can't trust that the cup will actually refil as it should. Sorry... I wouldn't recommend it.

Farmight 1 Gallon Chick/Small Flock Waterer
I'm using this product for my 3 new chicks that will soon be added to my small flock. I like the product overall and would have given it 5 stars if it had come with all the parts listed in the product description. The description claims it should come with two nipples and two cups. Mine only came with one of each. I really wanted to go with the 2 nipple option because the cups still give the chicks somewhere to stand on and kick bedding into. But to use the product at all I had to install the cup as well as the nipple because there were two holes drilled in the container. So now I need to source another nipple.
